A Tribute To: Antoine Dufour

Well… after having heard of Andy McKee and Craig D’Andrea there is one artist left to complete the trio of my favorite guitar players.

Antoine Dufour, a one of a kind guitar player, as the other two you’ve already heard of. But when you listen to his songs, you instantly notice that he is like a base and a solo guitar in one, playing beautiful melodies with cool baselines for ex. Glimmer Of Hope has a beautiful melody while Scratch has a blues like baseline which grooooooves.

Antoine is unique in his unconventional way to worm out tunes out of the guitar, worth to listen to in everyday life situation.

Gosh…

… I was so surprised about the traffic Nico Di Mattia’s tribute caused.. and after somebody used google to translate my post into spanish, I’m thinking of the pros and cons of using english as standart language in my Blog… maybe I’ll support both. Lets see what time will bring.

Here you can have a view of my 1616 visitors which were recorded after the start of ClusterMap and somehow lots of the small dots which represent new users, new viewers, visited my blog the last two or three days cause of the above mentioned tribute.

Um das ganze mal zweisprachig zu gestalten, mache ich nun in deutsch weiter. Auf jeden Fall hab ich noch einen Gitarrenkünstler am Start und demnächst gibts wieder ne Fruststory über die Bundeswehr ( Ja, die unendliche Geschichte ist noch nicht vorbei ). An Geschichten mangelts nicht, nur an Schreiblaune im Moment.

A Tribute To: Nico Di Mattia

Today I am not about to report about a musician but about another type of artist.

Nico Di Mattia draws. Digital. With an extraordinary skill. Taking a photograph as base, he is able to recreate that in Photoshop 1:1. He has also the original skills of an artist, for example with painting in oil, which can be seen here ( there he reproduces a cinema poster of Lord of the Rings).

He realized and shows that paper is out when it comes to drawings or cartoon or recreating photographs, up to date people ( and extremely skilled ) take Photoshop!

On Youtube he published so called „Speedpainting-Videos“ which merges work of hours or even days to a few minutes of breathtaking skill, mixed with music.
